We spent 4 years redesigning the tripod from the ground up, creating a travel tripod that packs down to the diameter of a water bottle—without compromising height, stability, or features.

Traditional tripods have always suffered from needless bulk and wasted space, so we made it radically faster to setup and takedown. Our tripod features ergonomic adjustment points, built-in mobile compatibility, and thoughtful details at every turn. Plus, it’s built for life on the road: durable, 100% serviceable, and backed by the Peak Design lifetime guarantee.

Travel Tripod is the most portable, packable, and easy-to-setup professional tripod on the market. For years, traditional tripods have suffered a critical flaw: needless bulk and wasted space, the result of a spatially inefficient design. By redesigning the tripod from the ground up, we created the world’s most portable travel tripod—one that packs to the diameter of a water bottle—without sacrificing height, stability, or load capacity. But we didn’t stop there. Travel Tripod is radically faster to setup/takedown than traditional tripods and features more ergonomic adjustment points, built-in mobile compatibility, and thoughtful usability details at every corner. Setup & Tips

The Peak Design Travel Tripod has been our most ambitious project to date. It took 4 years to design and build this extraordinary tool and we are darn proud of it. PD Head of Brand Lawrence loves it so much, he came back to do a 2nd instructional, this time with the final production version. The Travel Tripod is designed for rapid setup and takedown, allowing you to capture fleeting moments without the usual hassle. Its unique leg design enables quick deployment, with legs that extend and lock in place in seconds, eliminating the need to flip or rotate components as with traditional tripods. A secure, ergonomic quick-release system makes mounting and removing your camera swift and intuitive. This thoughtful engineering means less time fumbling and more time shooting, making it ideal for photographers who need to work efficiently in dynamic environments.

 

Pro Level Stability and Features

Despite its compact size, the Travel Tripod delivers professional-level stability and performance. With a 20lb weight capacity, it’s optimized to support full-frame DSLRs paired with telephoto lenses, providing reliable support for demanding gear. Stability and vibration damping are comparable, if not superior, to many full-size tripods in its class.
