Funsportz Sdn Bhd was founded in 2009 when it secured the rights to distribute GoPro exclusively in Malaysia.  Thereafter Funsportz started to add on other products related to outdoor, sports and travel which included Peak Design, SP gadgets, First Degree Fitness, Knog, Whoosh and Jaybird.

In 2015, Funsportz diversified into the bicycle retail business through its subsidiary Funsportzcycles with three Sspecialized Bicycles brand stores in Petaling Jaya, Kuala Lumpur and Penang Island.  During that time, Funsportzcycles was the largest retailer for Specialized Bicycles in Malaysia.  At the same time, Funsportz secured distribution rights for several reputable bicycle related brands such as Ohlins, Morgan Blue, DMR, K-Edge, Cycling Ceramic and Park Tool.

In 2021, Funsportz decided to stop representing Gopro in Malaysia and in the same year Specialized offered to acquire the entire Specialized Bicycles retail business from Funsportz. This marked a new chapter for Funsportz.

In 2024, Funsportz entered the angling business by investing into an established fishing equipment and accessories distributor, Monstercraft, which had distribution rights for reputable brands like Damiki, Fishing Tag and Cats Claw. Funsportz further diversified with the establishment of an automotive protection film and wrap business with the establisment of Spiff Wraps with several partners. Funsportz now has approximately 200 dealers retailing its products in Malaysia.

At Funsportz, we aim to bring high quality and highly reliable products to consumers in Malaysia.  We emphasize on building and maintaining strong relationships with our principals as well as our dealers.  We also understand that marketing is vital in order to publicize the value of the brands we represent which will in turn assist our dealers to enjoy healthy sell through.  We constantly provide support to our dealers in the form of product training, marketing and sales support so that customers have the best experience when choosing the products that we carry.
